Terrorism, banditry and kidnapping have indeed become pressing issues in Nigeria with North-eastern, north-central and northwest experiencing high influx of Ideas and Boko Haram factions , creating a climate of fear and instability that resulted into loss of countless lives of innocent farmers and poorly equipped Nigeria Armed Forces.
The rise of terrorist activities, particularly in the northeastern region of the country, as well as the prevalence of kidnappings for ransom, has led to significant challenges for the Nigerian poor citizens like farmers in Benue, plateau and kogi as well as Fishermen around the lake Chad basin.
This clearly exposed the hanky panky of the capitalist class in dealings particularly, addressing it's salient policies that has led to astronomical increase in poverty rate, underfunding of education and poor economy policies.
The ranking of Nigeria as sixth on the Global Terrorism Index indicates a serious concern regarding the effectiveness of the government's response to these threats. Various reports point to a lack of cohesive strategies and adequate resources allocated to counter-terrorism efforts. This lackadaisical attitude among ruling political figures is attributed to a myriad of factors, including corruption, political instability, and insufficient coordination among security agencies.

The psychological and socio-economic consequences are profound, with many communities living in fear and an increasing number of displaced individuals due to violence. Basic services such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure are also affected, hampering development and exacerbating poverty.

This could include strengthening the military and police capabilities, promoting community engagement to counter radicalization, and addressing the socio-economic roots of terrorism, such as poverty and unemployment. Furthermore, there is a pressing need for a transparent governance framework that prioritizes the safety and welfare of its citizens over political gain.
while the statistics paint a great picture of terrorism in Nigeria, it also highlights the urgent need for a proactive, comprehensive, and inclusive strategy to combat these issues as against the no strategy tactics endorsed by the government of Pbat/All progressive Congress (APC).
